Louisa: Fantasy Brown Marble & Naval Blue Vanity

A cost-effective vanity refresh that delivers storage, sophistication, and a natural stone focal point
After decades with the same bathroom vanity, our Louisa client was ready for a refresh. While she wasn't prepared for a full bathroom renovation, she wanted a cost-effective update that would improve both the look and functionality of the space.
One of her biggest concerns was storage. Her existing vanity lacked organization, so our team recommended a 60" vanity sink base featuring two center doors, two shallow drawers, and four deep drawers, providing ample space for everyday essentials.
For the countertop, she selected one of our most popular natural stones, Fantasy Brown Marble. Its flowing blend of pewter, apricot, and chestnut tones paired beautifully with the rich Naval Blue vanity, creating a sophisticated and inviting focal point for the room.
"Bold material choices work when the whole room is designed around them and Fantasy Brown and Naval Blue are a combination that commits fully."

Design Decisions
01
Vanity-only scope: maximum impact, contained investment.
The client wasn't ready for a full bathroom renovation and she didn't need one. The vanity is the room's primary visual element and its biggest functional pain point. Replacing it with a properly sized, well-organized unit addresses both simultaneously. A targeted vanity refresh changes how the entire bathroom feels to use and to look at, without the disruption or cost of a full gut renovation.
02
60" vanity with deep drawer configuration: solving the storage problem.
Storage was the client's top priority. Our team recommended a 60" sink base specifically for its drawer configuration: two shallow drawers for daily-use items, four deep drawers for organised storage below. This is meaningfully more functional than a typical two-door cabinet with an open interior. Every inch of the vanity's footprint is working. The wider format also gives the bathroom a more substantial, furniture-like presence.
03
Fantasy Brown Marble: the stone that makes Naval Blue sing.
Fantasy Brown's flowing blend of pewter, apricot, and chestnut is one of the few natural stones that introduces genuine warmth into a dark, jewel-toned palette without undermining it. Against Naval Blue, the warm tones in the stone pull the vanity away from cold and toward rich. Its classification at the granite-quartzite border also makes it more durable than true marble. A practical advantage for a bathroom surface that sees daily use.
04
Brushed gold hardware: the tie that completes the palette.
Navy and warm stone need a third element to feel resolved rather than simply contrasted. Brushed gold hardware (pulls, knobs, and faucet) provides exactly that. It echoes the apricot and chestnut tones in the Fantasy Brown surface and introduces warmth at the detail level, tying the vanity and countertop together as a unified composition rather than two separate selections.
A full renovation isn't always the answer.
Sometimes the right scope is a single well-executed update. A vanity that solves a storage problem and transforms a room at the same time. We help homeowners across identify exactly how much change delivers the result they're after, and we carry it through from selection to installation.
