Design Decisions

One stone for both kitchen and bathroom, to keep the whole home consistent
With multiple rooms receiving new countertops in the same project, the easiest path to a disjointed result is letting each room pick its own stone. Steel Grey Granite was specified for both the kitchen and the bathroom spaces, which means a person moving through the home sees one consistent material language rather than a kitchen and a bathroom that feel like they belong to different projects.

Low variation stone, selected for a contractor led timeline
Natural stone with heavy, unpredictable veining requires slab by slab selection at the yard to avoid surprises during fabrication, which adds time to a project schedule. Steel Grey Granite's low variation and consistent pattern meant slabs could be ordered with confidence in how they would be read once installed, which matters on a contractor led job where the schedule has to hold.
